Technology

The following raw materials are needed for the production of carbon material: graphite, carbon black, coke. 

These materials are ground into required grain size, homogenised and subsequently the added binder is carbonized during the heat treatment.Acquired powder material is pressed by a hydraulic press machine for various sizes. These mouldings are heat treated at the temperature from 1000 to 1500 °C. In case the impermeability and strength are required, materials are impregnated by metals and resins. Wear resistance is increased by carbon material impregnations and there is no negative influence on sliding properties of materials. 

Excellent physical properties of this impermeable material are caused by the technology of reaction bonded silicon carbide. Heat treated material is tooled according to technical drawings on band saws, grinding machines, CNC lathe and milling machines, lapping and polishing machines. The final products are subject to output control. 

Physical, mechanical and thermal properties of  materials are controlled. Dimensions and tolerances of final products are also checked in accordance with drawing documentations.
